Manager, Research Data Management

Job Description

The Team Leader Data Management leads and manages all activities within the data management group and thereby ensures that work is performed in accordance with applicable SOPs and working practices, industry guidelines, GCP, 21 CFR part 11, GCDMP, and other regulations. S/he reviews and approves data management documents and project specifications as well as supervises Data Management budgets and timelines. Furthermore, the Team Leader Data Management participates in recruitment and performance review of personnel. In collaboration with the Quality Management s/he establishes and maintains Data Management relevant standard operation procedures (SOPs), job descriptions and training programs. S/he participates in new business development activities and performs other tasks assigned by the Director Data Management. In addition to his/her Team Leader responsibilities the Team Leader Data Management performs data management activities according to the Data Manager job descriptions for assigned clinical and non-interventional studies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Data Management resource planning
  • Supervision of budgets, timelines and Data Management activities
  • Participation in recruitment process in collaboration with Director Data Management and Human Resources
  • Training and mentoring of Data Management personnel
  • Development and maintenance of Data Management job descriptions and SOPs
  • Review and approval of data management documents and project specifications
  • Ensuring work is performed in accordance with applicable SOPs and working practices, industry guidelines, GCP, 21 CFR part 11, GCDMP, and other regulations.
  • Keeping up to date with industry Data Management standards and developments and the application to appropriate systems or processes
  • Performance of Data Management activities for assigned clinical and non-interventional studies
  • Participation in cross-functional process improvement initiatives

Working Environment

Hybrid & Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered

This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in life science or statistical subject
  • Extensive data management experience within a CRO environment
  • Proven project leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Established expertise within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector
  • Strong client management and business development skills
  • Ownership of key deliverables with major clients
  • Applies knowledge of research principles and practices
  • Ability to work closely with Clinical Team to develop and communicate the organization’s point of view
