As a Research Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of research projects to the timing, budget and quality standards required and agreed with Research Services and/or clients. You will also be driving the implementation of quality control (i.e audits/trainings) and workflow optimization projects
Key responsibilities include:
Financial/ Commercial Management:
- Managing processes profitability to drive positive Gross Margin and profit
- Leads continuous improvement to project processes to maximize project & company profitability
- Drives efficient and timely invoicing and organization of financial documentation
- Develops accurate costs based on brief provided
- Identifies cost efficiencies
- Provides solutions to company barriers that are holding back profitability and growth
- Displays ownership of profit for all projects
- Liaises with Finance in respect of job accruals
- Manages revenue streams in Topline and forecasting for InterCo projects
Client Management:
- Manages and oversees clients projects (internal and external)
- Supports teams in the preparation of major pitches and ensures cross-sector teams are created which capture the relevant skill set required for the pitch
- Actively participates in pitch presentations
- Plays major role in client liaison
- Presents to clients competently and with confidence
- Identifies key products/ markets that will help grow business profit
- Looks at overall industry trends impacting accounts
- Manages client expectations
- Deals with and resolves client complaints / escalations
- Identifies appropriate supplier based on an intimate knowledge of their offer
Proposal Development/Project Design:
- Provides insight and thought leadership into proposal
- Signs off cost for proposals
- Applies conceptual frameworks strongly based on research, ‘marketing’ and ‘consumer’ principles
- Delivers recommendations on approaches to fieldwork
- Presents proposal in confident and competent manner
Quality Control:
- Quality control on deliverables associated with research programs
- Ensures all QC standards are met by all related parties
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of systems of quality and operations
- Displays industry sector expertise
- Understands and applies the Quality Management protocols and procedures in conduct of research activity and reporting
- Ensures that direct reports understand and apply code as appropriate
Communication:
- Proactively consults with key stakeholders
- Communicate project requirements with internal and external suppliers and departments to gain commitment of all parties
- Actively listens and communicates openly with clients, internal team, suppliers
- Proactively communicate project status to all stakeholders on a timely basis.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Explore new ways of working to offer better service to internal/external stakeholders.
- Actively look to simplify and improve processes, without compromising on quality.
- Play active role in implementation of new systems to improve efficiency of process
Working Environment
Hybrid & Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered
This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid
