Job Description

Cerner Corporation is current seeking a Manager, Health Center Operations(NP) for an onsite health center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

As a Manager, Health Center Operations (NP), you will manage the operations of a clinical setting to maximize member experience, clinical outcomes and financial management. You will conduct exams and develop plans within the scope of professional license to evaluate and treat injuries, acute illnesses, and chronic conditions, educate and counsel members about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications and perform diagnostic tests and screening evaluations. You will prescribe and administer medications and medical devices, perform minor surgical interventions, and perform staff management activities including proactively addressing issues, determining schedules and resource allocation, and assessing performance to ensure effective patient care. You will also collaborate to ensure facility and equipment meet the needs of providers, members and staff in form and function, manage quality improvement studies to improve member experience, clinical outcomes and financial management and establish and maintain processes and procedures to deliver best-in-class member experience, clinical outcomes, and financial management. In addition, you will follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personnel protective equipment, lead, direct and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and department and establish and communicate team goals that support and advance team and department objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress. You will be responsible to understand and explain policies, practices and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team, identify, propose and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department-level and deliver consistent and timely training, guidance and feedback to encourage and promote associate success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities. Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year licensed health care practice, health care operations management and/or other health care work experience
    • At least 7 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Master's degree in Nursing, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Multiple Issuers
  • Nurse Practitioner - State Board
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
  • Doctorate's degree in Nursing Practice, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
