PRN Radiologic Technologist

Job Description

Cerner is currently seeking a PRN Radiologic Tech for one of our onsite occupational health centers in Lakeland, Florida.

As a PRN Radiologic Tech for Cerner, you will provide outstanding clinical care on as needed basis by operating radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. You will review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes, communicate medical knowledge in lay-person terms to enhance patient education and understanding of procedures and operate or oversee operation of radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. You will also key commands and data into computer to document and specify scan sequences, adjust transmitters and receivers, or photograph certain images, demonstrate new equipment, procedures, and techniques to staff, and provides technical assistance and measure thickness of section to be radiographed using instruments similar to measuring tapes. Lastly, you will follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personnel protective equipment. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 2 years direct patient or member care work experience
    • At least 2 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or higher education
  • Radiologic Technologist License – State Board or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R )) – ARRT

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associated Degree – Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support(BLS) – Multiple Issuers

  • Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
