Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Client Technology Services, you will manage technical groups withing ITWorks client sites, while ensuring business standards and service levels are met. You will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, planning, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of applications across clients that incorporate the site’s mission and vision. This includes driving the complete of annual financial planning, and technology and security infrastructure assessments for the client as well as developing and enhancing relationships with key client executives. You will contribute and support the development of process improvements and evolution of the overall Cerner technology vision and strategy in addition to managing the delivery of services and technology to clients and ensure that the client and business standards are achieved. You will also contribute to the development of the overall solution roadmap, provide oversight of the implementation of operating procedures and direct the study, design and implementation of new systems and equipment. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring infrastructure architecture meets standards, maximizes efficiency, and supports platform compatibility and identify and ensure mitigation of cross-functional impacts and areas of potential risk management. You will have direct ownership and accountability in delivering organizational objectives that cascade from corporate and client imperatives. This includes leading, directing and reviewing the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with significant contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short term- results for the team, department and organization. In addition, you will establish and communicate team or department goals that support and advance team, department and organization objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress. In this role, you will influence diverse stakeholder groups and drive acceptance of policies, practices and procedures within broader area of responsibility.

As a Senior Manager, Client Technology Services you will identify, propose and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; lead or influence strategic initiatives at the department-level and provide input on strategic initiatives for the organization. You will also deliver consistent and timely training, guidance and feedback to encourage success and promote associate growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities. Finally, you will own decision-making for staffing and performance decisions for direct reports as well as manage one or more teams of associates.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education including:
    • At least 3 years of client relationship management, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other client facing work experience
    • At least 7 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education including:
      • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, related field or equivalent, relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
