Data Analyst II

Job Description

At Cerner we are embarking on an exciting journey to transform how pricing data is generated and consumed to drive actionable insights. As a Data Analyst II on the Pricing & Analytics team here at Cerner, you will analyze, prepare, and process data sets to be consumed for direct insights, statistical modeling or other analytical exploration for internal and external clients. You will also access and compile complex data sets from various sources for exploratory and pre-defined analyses audit complex data sets for completeness, validity, and other pertinent data health measures and evaluate complex data sets for analytical possibilities and pitfalls with some assistance. Furthermore, you will transform complex data with some assistance for specific team functions or processes as appropriate, conduct basic statistical testing and exploratory data analysis and create basic data visualizations leveraging design and data presentation guides. Lastly, you will consult with stakeholders or clients on data availability and quality and outcomes of analysis and pinpoint trends, correlations and patterns in complex data sets with some assistance.

Working Environment

Hybrid & Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered

This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 6 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education including:
    • At least 1 year of Data analytics and/or statistics work experience, including experience in quantitative or statistical analysis, data mining, predictive or statistical modeling, applied programming, data management, data transformation, data visualization and/or quantitative or statistical research
    • At least 5 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education including:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics
Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 40% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
