Do you want to improve the efficiency of infrastructure through automation? Then we have a position for you. Cerner has an opening for an Associate Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer II. You will design and develop complex automation for infrastructure resources. You will identify opportunities for automation and efficiency across processes, solutions and tools. You will also contribute to strategic direction for architecture discussions, design sessions and code reviews. The ultimate goal of this team is to build and maintain scalable, resilient automation for Cerner’s infrastructure resulting in large-scale operational excellence.

Working Environment

Hybrid or Remote

This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 6 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • System administration and/or system engineering work experience at least 1 year
    • At least 5 years of Higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, , Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Python or Ruby programming experience
  • 1+ years of automation platforms and configuration management solutions work experience
  • Experience with Chef/Ansible
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
