Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will be focused on and improve the reliability of mission critical solutions and platforms for large-scale or critical systems through software development. In this role you will be accountable for the architecture, design and reliability of one or more solutions or platforms, lead and direct architecture discussions, design sessions and reviews with a focus on improving the reliability of the solution or platform, develop long term roadmap for solution reliability improvement and sustainability, investigate and drive analysis or new innovations and technologies to improve reliability, lead and direct game day events up through production with the specific intent of verifying the reliability characteristics of the solution or platform. You will also drive operational review, incident recovery and post-incident review to identify preventative actions and improvements with stakeholders, participate in on-call rotation for the operations of the solution or platform, partner with strategy, operation and solution teams as a reliability expert to provide recommendations and reinforce and promote reliability culture and values across the organization and Cerner.

Working Environment

Hybrid or Remote

This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 10 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • At least 3 years software engineering work experience
    • At least 7 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job; including:
      • Bachelor’s degree in; Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Processing and/or in a related field
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
