As a Solution Designer for DevOps in a cloud environment, you gather information that helps you design and realize DevOps strategies to help Oracle Cerner build a next-generation system for clinical workflows and documentation in international markets.
In cooperation with internal and external clients, you do market research and make sure we meet regulatory requirements. Using best practices and modern cloud technologies, you anticipate market needs and provide DevOps solutions with a focus on deploying containerized applications.

Regularly aligning with stakeholders, you guide the team in the planning of development and maintenance projects. You work together with DevOps engineers and testers in the toolchain team to successfully complete those projects.

Working Environment

Hybrid or Remote

This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Qualifications

Basic qualifications
  • Vocational degree or equivalent relevant work experience in IT
  • Several years of experience in product design, product testing, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other HCIT solution work experience, software design, development or similar, preferably web or cloud based
  • Fluent English

Preferred qualifications
  • Several years of experience in designing, setting-up and maintaining automated DevOps toolchains, e.g. with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube
  • Solid understanding of agile development and requirements engineering
  • Prior experience in solution design and product responsibility
  • Experience in software deployment in containers (e.g. Docker)
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift or similar)
  • Proficient German
