Program Cost Control Analyst I

Job Description

As a Project Control Analyst you will be working directly with executive leadership and project managers to support corporate and project-level financial management functions, including: Effectively communicate regularly with executive leadership, project managers, account managers, and business area directors. Oversee various financial functions such as portfolio forecasting, analysis, and pricing. Provide financial support to the business by developing, analyzing and interpreting project financial reports including but not limited to forecasting and estimate atcompletion (EAC) development to support revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, at-risk project coordination, variance analysis', and project cash flow management. Proactively perform analysis and financial communications. Support the development and analysis of proposal pricing efforts. Work with Program Managers to optimize profitability and Operating Income (OI) across all projects. Knowledge of the various contract types and ability to analyze historical program financial performance and project future performance while having an understanding of assumptions, risks, and opportunities. Evaluate and implement pricing strategies and models. Creates and administers pricing databases and coordinates pricing efforts across the organization.

This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education
    • At least 1 year project/program management work experience
    • At least 4 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Government contracting finance experience with an understanding of multiple contract types and reporting
  • Knowledge in Excel
  • Deltek/Costpoint experience
  • Candidate work in Arlington, VA or Chantilly, VA.

Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 5-10% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
