Job Description

Cerner is looking for a Senior Configuration Consultant to join our team! As a Senior Configuration Consultant you manage and monitor overall configuration strategy and project schedule for team. You direct incoming work requests, assigning team members to work based on resource capacity; drive tools development, troubleshooting, and compliance across team; and analyze complex data to determine configuration readiness. You also provide domain, implementation approach, and workflow design expertise and assist with complex system configurations and testing as necessary; drive complex issue resolution and escalation management; collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine process, methodology updates, and resulting project impacts; and drive process improvement opportunities and efficiencies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
    • At least 2 years of application or system configuration, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
    • At least 6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Expectations:
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Must currently reside or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro area
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
