CHC is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our on-site health center located in Ledyard, CT. This health center provides Occupational Health services for the employees of Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, Foxwoods Casinos. As a Medical Assistant, you will focus on patient education, wellness, and prevention, interview patients, measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height and record information on patients' charts, prepare treatment and room patients for examination, including cleans and sterilizes instruments. You will also perform inventory and order medical supplies and materials, operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment, performs administrative tasks, complete appropriate client company forms, and provide assistance at the front desk. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care health center setting
  • Basic Life Support Certification
Expectations

  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Patient triage
  • Must reside in or near the Ledyard, CT area
  • Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
  • Wiling to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
