Senior Engagement Owner

Job Description

As the Senior Engagement Owner for Consulting Services, you are responsible for the planning and delivery of the project. You deliver value by managing the scope, schedule, risks, issues, team members, and collaborating with the client to deliver on commitments.
The Cerner Senior Engagement Owner will work with the Client’s project teams and lead to ensure the client’s program and project management is successful. The Senior Engagement Owner will lead daily activities delivering on the plan as outlined in the schedule and have accountability for highly complex, multi-site client programs. The Senior Engagement Owner possesses strong relationship management experience (building trusted relationships with key stakeholders, addressing conflict in a calm and professional manner, having crucial conversations that result in positive outcomes, etc.) Mitigate and resolve engagement risks and issues proactively. Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to execute client and methodology vision and objectives. Ensure project deliverables and timelines are met while ensuring value is delivered to the client as committed. Accountable for external Director level client relationships. Manage complex client and project team matters.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years total combined higher education and related work experience
    • At least 2 years of healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support project program management, or other client-facing of HCIT solution work experience
    • At least 6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree
  • Willing to travel of up to 80%
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master
