Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Client Application Services within ITWorks, you will drive the vision, strategy, planning, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of applications for Palomar Health. You will have a variety of responsibilities such as: driving the completion of annual financial planning, operational, and capital budgeting; supporting maintenance and configuration of applications to ensure applications meet client's objectives; and contributing to the development of the overall solution roadmap. You will leverage your analytical skills by identifying cross-functional impacts and areas of potential risk management, as well as analyzing data, identify business gaps, and direct resolutions; ensuring the delivery of services to clients and the client's business standards are achieved. Through your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will influence diverse stakeholder groups and drive acceptance of policies, practices and procedures within broader area of responsibility. As a leader, you will lead, direct and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with significant contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team, department and organization. You will identify, propose and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; lead or influence strategic initiatives at the department-level and provide input on strategic initiatives for the organization. Furthermore, you will deliver consistent and timely training, guidance and feedback to encourage success and promote associate growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities. You will own decision-making for staffing and performance decisions for direct reports.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education including:
    • At least 3 years of client relationship management, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other client-facing work experience
    • At least 7 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
      • Cerner Millennium work experience and other third party application experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
  • At least 7 years of client relationship management, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other client-facing work experience\\At least 5 years experience with Cerner Millennium application work experience and third party applications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater San Diego, CA area
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
