Organizational Change Consultant

Job Description

As an Organizational Change Consultant on Cerner's Federal Change Management team, you will collect and analyze data through interview, observation and informal discussion to understand an organization’s culture, success factors, and barriers. You will build strategies to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative, conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders. You will also need to understand success metrics, monitor change progress and provide updates on change readiness. You will also define and build a plan to address anticipated resistance and identify development opportunities for change sponsors.

This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • Healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or information technology (IT) solution work experience
    • At least 5 years additional higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clinical and hospital operations acumen
  • Healthcare workflow impact analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Education, Healthcare Administration, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) - Association of Change Management Professionals
  • At least 2 years of change management work experience
  • At least 1 year Cerner Millennium Solution knowledge
Expectations:
  • Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
  • Must be located in the Kansas City metropolitan area or near a major international airport
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
