Sales Support Specialist

Job Description

As a Sales Support Specialist on the Technology and Sales Client Operations team, you will conduct sales process management activities within a defined territory, solution or market segment. You will create and maintain sales opportunities within Cerner sales tools, prepare quotes and sales orders, and ensure accuracy based upon client requests, solution requirements and pre-negotiated terms. You will coordinate fulfillment of executed sales orders, including orders for third-party equipment or sub-licensed software. You will also educate clients on Cerner solutions, technologies and services, participate in client assessments and related follow-up as needed, and support sales managed events as needed, including request for proposal (RFP) responses, demonstrations or reference visits. As key member of the team, you will maintain relationships with vendors or industry partners in assigned market segments. We are excited for you to join the team!

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year of sales support, customer service or help desk support working experience

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
