Business Intelligence Analyst I - Competitive Intelligence

Job Description

We are looking for a new Business Intelligence Analyst I to join our Competitive Intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting data on competitors and the marketplace to support corporate positioning and business strategy. The team is responsible for curating competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, pricing/business models, partnership announcements, and competitive messaging. This includes active media and news tracking across healthcare and healthcare technology markets. You will be expected to build acumen in key strategic business within Cerner and foster relationships with Cerner stakeholders across sales, marketing, IP development and operations. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a desire to dig in and understand complicated market situations and provide critical insight and recommendations to the business.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year of business analytics work experience
    • At least 4 years of completed higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:
      • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Analytics or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of Market Research or competitive intelligence work experience
  • At least 1 year of healthcare technology sales or research, care delivery or healthcare marketing experience
  • Experience with corporate financial and investor reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with data visualizations programs like Tableau or PowerBI
Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 10% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
