We are pleased to share an opportunity that has emerged to enable talent acquisition strategies that will fuel the growth of Cerner’s workforce delivering products and services to the federal clients we proudly serve. 

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, you will align closely with our Cerner Government Services organization to understand talent needs supporting aggressive business growth.  You will work with business leaders to develop a deep understanding of business needs and desired candidate profiles and skills for hiring a variety of skills, some with niche positions with a heavy emphasis on IT roles.  Your expertise will be leveraged by developing recruiting strategies for identifying a variety of sourcing options, building networks, delivering qualified candidates, constructing and negotiating offers all while ensuring compliance measures are met.  You will also provide guidance to hiring leaders on recruitment and hiring processes by coaching others on delivering positive candidate experiences and making sound hiring decisions.  As a senior member of the team, you will participate in initiatives to improve recruiting approaches to ensure successful delivery of talent and provide guidance to other recruiters through coaching and training.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • At least 2 years of human resources work experience
    • At least 6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field of study, or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • At least 2 years of talent acquisition experience with Federal Government hiring

Expectations

  • Experience managing an end-to-end full life cycle recruiting process from job posting creation through sourcing, screening, and offer acceptance, to initiating of background checks and onboarding activities.
  • Demonstrated advanced sourcing best practices and techniques to lead recruiting efforts
  • Experience with state and federal laws, such as OFCCP
  • Must reside in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area or live in a virtually approved location
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
