Job Description

​​​​Cerner is hiring a Contract Manager I where our team is looking for a highly motivated self-starter with strong communication, writing, financial analysis, and negotiation skills to manage contracts with Cerner’s suppliers. As a Contract Manager I, you will work with Cerner's business owners, suppliers, and legal group to draft, negotiate and analyze contracts. You will be responsible to learn the business quickly and serve as the primary contact for specific business units and suppliers will be a great addition to our team. You will be responsible to suggest creative alternatives to achieve the ultimate negotiation objective, focus on the economics of the deal, and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. You will also be responsible for critical thinking with strong project management skills who can coordinate the input and interests of groups throughout Cerner, and drive contracts to execution under tight time frames and this role will give you the opportunity to lead contract strategy and make an impact on health care through your work.

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of work experience in contract management and negotiation.
