About the Team
Cerner Enterprise Document Management product team is part of the Millennium Clinicals business group. Our team is responsible for developing and executing market strategies and product roadmaps for the EDM solutions. EDM’s solutions deliver value to our clients by managing patient documentation and driving operational efficiencies through technology and workflow.

About the Role
  • Product Owner is a member of the agile team responsible for key deliverables in the product development lifecycle that owns, maintains, and prioritizes the product backlog for the scrum team. This individual works closely with the business owner, product manager, scrum master and software engineers to deliver value to the business and clients by driving to the product vision.
    • Create and prioritize epics and user stories for product development
    • Develop story and feature acceptance criteria; review and accept backlog items as ready
    • Perform functional testing, including user acceptance and exploratory testing
    • Evaluate risks and perform hazard analysis for development activities
    • Track product functionality and performance, as required by regulatory standards, to ensure that it meets market needs
    • Facilitate key agile ceremonies, such as the sprint review
    • Manage ongoing communications between product and scrum teams
    • Contribute ideas and suggestions to product component or feature roadmap
    • Provide input and approval to product documentation, including help notes and release files

Qualifications



Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years work experience, plus:
  • 2 years relevant work experience, including;
    • 1 year of experience Product design, product testing, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other HCIT solution work experience.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and principals
  • Experience working and collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for both technical and business audiences
  • Ability to make quick and informed decisions when clarification or solution modification is needed
  • A self-starter with the ability to develop and track opportunities without explicit guidance
  • Ability to breakdown roadblocks to maintain project commitments
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira, Jira Align, IBM Doors Next Generation, Office 365
Expectations
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations;
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position;
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
