Job Description

As a Senior Clinical Consultant, you are responsible for developing and driving successful clinical engagements through the application of Cerner's methodology in assigned implementation, sales, and marketing activities. On the Implementation side, the Senior Clinical Consultant will engage client organization leadership to articulate vision, demonstrate benefits and localize change management strategies on their journey to automate clinical practice and business operations. You will partner with Cerner client clinical stakeholders to form relationships and holistically impact client clinical performance, satisfaction, and clinical and business outcomes during project engagements. You will also conduct outcomes assessments and communicate key findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the executive and project leadership as well as assess organizational opportunities to improve quality of care and patient safety.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Studies, Health Care, Nursing or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of licensed clinical or health care work experience
  • At least 2 years of health care information technology (HCIT) consulting work experience
  • Registered Nurse – State Board Certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Clinical Studies, Health Care or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 6 year of health care information technology (HCIT) work experience
  • At least 6 years of healthcare management experience

Expectations
  • Eligible for licensure to practice in their field or comparable global training
  • Willing to travel 60-80% of the time as needed
  • Must live in, or relocate to, Kansas City; or live within 60 miles of an approved virtual city
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Additional Information

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
