Job Description

As an accounting on the US General Ledger team, you will be responsible for updating, analyzing, and reporting financial information. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate information; ensuring that Cerner complies with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and established financial policies and procedures; recording necessary monthly journal entries to the general ledger, analyzing financial data to facilitate decision-making; performing process reviews and suggesting/implementing enhancements; preparing and updating reconciliations and financial reports for a variety of audiences; and updating financial information in Cerner systems. Corporate GL accountants are also responsible for the monthly close processes of domestic business units, as well as processes that cover all business units during consolidation and preparation of Cerner’s consolidated financial statements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of Finance or Accounting work experience


  • Must live in for be willing to relocate to Kansas City
