Job Description

Our Shared Services Engineering Federal team has an opening for a Senior System Engineer. As a Senior System Engineer you will be providing administration and focus on Active Directory, Windows, Group Policy, DNS and SCCM. You will be tasked with troubleshooting, investigating problems, design solutions, evaluate products and mentor associates. You will also be documenting processes and procedures and providing technical guidance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract, you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of Windows architectures (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Windows Systems)
  • At least 7 years of Windows System Engineering work experience
  • Understanding of HP Hardware, Ilo, Firmware and Drivers
  • Understanding of SCCM (Building, Design, Management)
  • Microsoft PKI Knowledge preferred
  • Basics of Zabbix, and SCOM knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Security implementation Security Guidelines (STIG)
 Expectations
  • Must be willing to reside in Kansas City or live in a Virtually approved city
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed.
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report compromises of security within scope of position.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Information

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.

Some Cerner positions may be obligated to comply with client-facing requirements and occupational health requests, including but not limited to, an immunization set, an annual flu shot, an annual TB screen, an updated background check, and/or an updated drug screen.
