Job Description

As a Lead Engagement Owner, you are the project manager that will oversee the business and installation process and working relationships within large projects for designated Cerner clients, while serving as the primary contact for all client-based learning activities. You will be accountable for the delivery of Cerner client projects. You will lead strategy and accountability for client roadmaps and project plans. In addition, you will direct and manage a team of highly influential associates responsible for delivering value to strategic clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to execute client and methodology vision, objectives, and strategy. The Lead Engagement Owner will monitor key performance indicators and intervene as necessary to mitigate client risks and ensure value is delivered to the client as committed. In addition, you will drive vision, innovation, and strategy for internal organizational and team imperatives.

About Client Services


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience 
  • At least 7 years Project Management or Health Care Information Technology (HCIT) consulting work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Cerner Solutions or EMR Solution work experience 
  • Proven success leading teams to improve clinical and operational processes
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • 5 years of federal experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 80% as needed
  • Must be able to reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City area or a virtually approved city
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
