Job Description

The Senior System Engineer on the Operations team are critical to the successful implementation of Cerner solutions within healthcare environments. In this role, the Senior System Engineer is expected to take a consultative approach to an extensive change process by using relationship building skills to develop trust and rapport with clients. Senior System Engineers will provide system implementation, support, monitoring and maintenance of Cerner’s solutions and services.

About Engineering & Technology


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in CIS, MIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 2 years of system engineering work experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications
  • PowerShell/scripting experience preferred
  • HPE equipment experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of datacenter architectures (i.e. Servers, Networking, Storage, Physical hardware, Virtualization)
  • WIN and VMware knowledge preferred

  • May be required to lift up to 40 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Toronto, Ontario area
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Additional Information
