Job Description

As a Senior Communications Partner within Cerner Government Services you will support the Lead Communications Partner and execute complex, multifunctional national communications strategies through collaboration, competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification. You will lead collaboration with leaders and peers to gain an understanding of solutions, business strategy and healthcare industry to create content for assigned projects. This role will allow you to create and curate communications from concept to completion including white papers, articles, web pages, social media, presentations and other marketing collateral and manage and optimize communications within and across platforms and venues to increase the visibility of the company or an individual’s content. You will create standards to moderate user-generated content by monitoring submissions and determining appropriateness in accordance with the moderation policy for each community and consult with stakeholders on new communications trends and platforms and create approaches to positively leverage them or address emerging risks. In scope will also be to establish success measures and present results of communication efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or Communications or related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of business writing or business communications work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AP Style Guide writing experience
  • Digital media experience
  • Government Communications experience

  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the District of Columbia
  • Must complete a writing assessment as part of the interview process

Additional Information

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
