Job Description

As an Accountant on the Long Lived Assets team, you will be responsible to prepare and record asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. You will analyze financial statements for trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to ensure items are properly accounted for in accordance with GAAP. You will reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, record manual journal entries associated with responsible balance sheet accounts, review purchase requisitions for proper accounting treatment, and complete Software Cap Development’s area of Finance’s close process. Daily activities would include reviewing proposed project work and interpreting compliance with GAAP guidelines and internal policies, as well as working with numerous areas outside of Finance to manage capital projects.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Kansas City
