Job Description

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst within Cerner Government Services you will consult with stakeholders to determine solutions for core and related system requirements and projects. You will drive system changes and enhancements as well as evaluate new solutions and determine ability to deliver value to the business. In scope will be to ensure stakeholders receive the highest level of ROI on existing solutions and create complex reporting and propose additional reporting opportunities. The Senior Business/ Requirements Analyst will be responsible for supporting the elaboration, tracking, and managing of functional and non-functional requirements.

Duties and responsibilities that would fall in this role would be to support development of a Technical Requirements Plan to outline the activities and processes associated with managing, tracking and updating program requirements as well as support the development and management of functional workflows. You will maintain and update of the Requirements Traceability Matrix to support development and testing efforts. This role will allow you to facilitate discussions with technical and non–technical audiences while acting as an intermediary and translator to identify functional and technical requirements effectively identify and mitigate risks to the program. In scope will be to ensure development of quality deliverables within established schedules, collaborate with teams across the customer organization to improve processes, results, and effectiveness of requirements plans and processes. Finally, you will report progress, status and associated data/metrics associated with program requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of systems management or implementation work experience
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools to include JIRA, Version 1, and HP ALM
  • Experience with varying SW development approaches including agile and waterfall
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience defining non-functional requirements in the following areas:
    • Infrastructure
    • Data management
    • Information security /assurance
    • Role-based access management
Expectations:
  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Arlington, VA area

Additional Information

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
