Job Description

Continuous Improvement Delivery specializes in short, data-driven clinical optimization projects. These projects are intended to achieve a measurable outcome as quickly as possible in way that engages the end-users in the process of delivering Cerner’s Model Experience. Each optimization project includes an Engagement Owner, Consultant(s) and Data Analyst who play an active role in achieving successful project outcomes.

As a Consultant, you will provide optimization expertise and consult with Cerner clients on service line workflows and guide them through interdependencies and design decision impacts to optimize their Millennium EHR experience. Through your strong professional communication skills, you will provide solution oversight, direction and expertise to stakeholders (spanning from C-suite level to bedside clinicians). You will drive client-specific solution configuration and design to meet workflow requirements and make recommendations to clients. In addition you will work closely with the data analytics team to apply solution expertise to the project goals set and outcomes achieved. Additional responsibilities include: mitigate solution risks and issues; execute workflow and process improvement strategies; and lead client meetings and events.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or Business or related field or relevant equivalent work experience
  • At least 4 years of software implementation work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of health care information technology work experience

Expectations

  • Ability to travel 80-100%
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City Metropolitan area

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
