As a Senior System Engineer, in our Support Services team in London, you will play a key role in the troubleshooting and the tasks you perform will help businesses be more efficient and provide a better service to our clients.

Support Services is a team dedicated to ensure the optimal performance of Cerner Millennium applications through 24x7x365 proactive monitoring, management and quick problem resolution. The Support Services team stands ready to provide direct and continuous support for the day-to-day operational management of Cerner applications.

As a Senior System Engineer, you will design, install, monitor and support technology infrastructures across Cerner applications and servers. Your end goal is a system built for optimal performance, recoverability and availability. We are looking for versatile and innovative individuals with experience in a variety of technologies – including but not limited to Linux, Windows, Networking, Batch Scripting, Automation, Database and Virtualization tools.

This role requires prioritization of work based on severity and urgency balancing client and business needs whilst meeting the KPIs and Service standards. Whilst collaborating among other teams to ensure issues are addressed by the appropriate individuals.

About Engineering & Technology

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer or Management Information Systems or related field, or relevant equivalent work experience
•At least 2 years of System Engineering Work Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
•Basic knowledge of SQL or CCL for those with Cerner experience
•Knows the basic admin Linux commands
• Training or understanding of C++
•Understanding with Java and HTTP processing
•Network understanding on TCP/IP Socket based communication

Expectations:
•Provide on call support on rotation basis

Additional Information
