Clinical Terminologist

Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Health Care Delivery

Job Description

Cerner’s Population Health Practice is a new exciting part of our organization transforming the way care is managed and delivered, using technology to underpin the management of population health across geographies. We’re changing how people think about health and care. We have a passion for new ideas that are changing the world by the minute.

As a Clinical Terminologist, you would be a key member of the Population Health India Team and you will be giving meaning to clinical codes, from across the healthcare continuum. These codes will be used by our HealtheIntent platform in Cerner solutions, to identify and close gaps in care. Through your clinical expertise and knowledge of standard terminologies, you will make decisions that will allow for data to flow through the platform by defining and grouping the codes based on the best available standards for the codes.

In addition to standardizing codes, you will be in charge of aggregating these codes into groups of like meanings to be used across the platform. These groups of standards will be used in multiple algorithms throughout the platform as well as be part of the foundation for several Cerner based solutions for Population Health. You will also be reviewing client proprietary codes or industry-standard documentation to verify that correct medical terminologies are being utilized, and troubleshoot and resolve client terminology issues as they arise.
