Job Description

The Support Services Owner (SSO) is responsible for directing the transition of Help Desk and Millennium Service Desk support from the client to the Cerner Connect teams in Kansas City. The SSO will be responsible for all aspects of the support transition, including setting up the Remedy ticketing system and xMatters paging system (team creation, requesting access, building support and escalation structures, and facilitating training) prior to transitioning Tier One support to Kansas City.

The Support Services Manager will work with the onsite Tier One and Tier Two Support teams to document the current processes the site uses, including password resets, basic troubleshooting, account creation, and application support. The SSO will be responsible for completing the activities in the Cerner Connect Transition Guide, including training the Kansas City teams on client site access and workflow, planning and executing the transition, and directing the Go Live activities. The SSO may manage additional team members assisting with knowledge gathering and workflow analysis activities.

About Sales, Marketing & Strategy


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of health care information technology (HCIT) project management, sales or consulting work experience
  • 1+ year of project management work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Millennium experience
  • 3+ years project or client facing experience
  • Service management, process development, presentation experience and documentation skills

  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City area
  • Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
