Job Description

As Manager for our US Payroll team, you will be responsible for payroll execution across 50 states and 20,000+ associates. These responsibilities include supporting annual operational planning and budgeting processes; produce structured metrics reports, dashboards and related analytical tools to provide leadership relevant and timely insights to effectively execute on business priorities; maintain content sites and repositories to support business processes including wikis, knowledge databases and other content vehicles; and adapt and improve operations management systems and processes to accommodate rapid and increasing growth and volume.

As a manager of people, you will seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution; delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. In additions you will identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed; lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Creating a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize their accomplishments is another key responsibility. This will be done through providing timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability, and connect opportunities for your associates’ development; identifying the right talent to achieve the desired results and promoting and building a diverse cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.

About Corporate


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Health Care, or Marketing or a related field or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of business process development or improvement work experience
  • At least 1 year of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of payroll processing experience, particularly in a large progressive company setting
  • Experience with Workday payroll
  • Experience with taxes and processing payroll for multiple states

  • Ability to collaborate across all of the Functional organizations
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area
