Job Description

The Senior Integrated Technologies Architect will provide expert level analysis of voice, video, radio-frequency, and data communication networks. This role will be responsible for evaluating wired and wireless networks at client engagements to ensure the network meets Industry and Cerner standards to ensure the successful implementation of Cerner solutions. The network analysis will include analysis of network topologies, traffic, and capacity requirements. You will also be responsible for planning out network layouts to meet Industry and Cerner standards and would be responsible for supporting others in a role for acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. The Senior Integrated Technologies Architect would be responsible for consolidating all evaluation findings into a standardized presentation and present all findings, capabilities and service offerings to Cerner executives along with Client executives and IT Staff. This role may be involved in the following: provide technical support and troubleshooting to clients, perform network administration duties, provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced network personnel. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participate in regular status meetings and special projects as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in CIS, MIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 7 years of system support or engineering work experience
  • Experience with any of the following: Ekahau, AirMagnet, NetBrain, LanSweeper, Extrahop
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in healthcare or information systems
  • Wireless Architecture, Design and Implementation
  • Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki Wireless AP, Controllers and Management suite
  • Experience with Routing/Switching
  • Experience with Air Magnet/Ekahau Surveys and RF analysis
  • 5+ years hands on in Wireless Design and Implementation
  • 7+ years in Network Infrastructure
  • Wireless implementation as well as architecture/design experience required
  • Support relationships with key upstream IT delivery organizations
  • Capacity and performance analysis for project planning
Expectations
  • Currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area
  • Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
