Job Description

The Support Services Owner (SSO) is responsible for the Cerner support processes for Cerner’s alignment with Veteran’s Affairs. Responsibilities include serving as the primary liaison for support relationships with both the client and internal Cerner organizations. The SSO will also assist with facilitation of the application change management process, executive relationship management, and close alignment with other onsite Cerner groups to formulate the best strategies for process and reporting needs. The Support Services Owner also provides support around production event planning, client transitions, and incident escalation management. The Support Services Owner is the primary contact for all client-based activities.

Application Managed Services is a team dedicated to ensuring the optimal performance of Cerner Millennium applications through 24x7x365 proactive monitoring, management and quick problem resolution. The Application Managed Services team stands ready to provide direct and continuous support for the day-to-day operational management of Cerner applications.

The Support Services Owner is responsible for managing the support of all implemented Cerner solutions and services to clients. The SSO is responsible for ensuring the support methodology is adhered to. This role is also responsible for ensuring world-class service is provided by coordinating departmental or cross-functional teams to deliver timely, high quality projects. The SSO works on significant or unique issues where analysis of situations and independent judgment are required to obtain results. The SSO is responsible for the following: managing action items, risks/issues and all deliverables; managing cross-organizational interactions as needed including managing escalations across Cerner teams; facilitating meetings, generating agendas/minutes, and developing detailed plans/schedules; and managing and driving results through support.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Project management work experience, At least 3 years
  • Health care information technology (HCIT) project management, sales, consulting, or support work experience, At least 5 years
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing and/or supporting healthcare IT solutions

Expectations:
  • Residing in or willing to relocate to Seattle, WA
  • Ability to travel 80%

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
