Job Description

The Technology Support Manager will direct the day-to-day operations of associates assigned to support specific technology software, hardware, or system solutions. you will be responsible for managing the technical group while ensuring all business standards and service levels are met. This is a leadership role in the organization, contributing to the vision, strategy, planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, and maintain of technologies.

You will ensure all phases of support are properly coordinated, scheduled, monitored, tracked, escalated and resolved. You will prioritize and schedule work, allocate resources, monitor progress, and support change management. You will ensure support efforts meet quality standards, promote client satisfaction, and adhere to service level agreements; act as a resource for questions or issues, and serve as an escalation point for resolving complex issues or situations; manage workflow and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness.

You will also develop and implement operating procedures, and direct the study, design and implementation of new systems and equipment. This also ensuring infrastructure architecture meets standards, maximizes efficiency, and supports platform compatibility as well as identifying cross-functional impacts and areas of potential risk management. You will have direct ownership and accountability in delivering organizational objectives that cascade from corporate and client imperatives.

You will also build an effective team and align business strategy with Cerner and site imperatives. You will be responsible for effectively communicating and building relationships across Cerner and client needs and demands effectively while also providing effective situation management and escalation, utilizing good judgement on diagnosis and resolution. You will also assist in managing Human Resource tasks including hiring, performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary actions. In addition, you will also recognize and develop career growth and competencies of associates while providing leadership for those involved in development, design, and optimizations of technical information system platforms.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information systems or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 7 years of technical support work experience
  • At least 3 years of people management experience

Expectations
  • In-depth understanding of support metrics/KPIs
  • Manage routine associate situations
  • Direct the work efforts and results of a team of associates
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Farmington, NM
