Job Description

The Senior Business Developer for Virtual Health at Cerner is a position that requires a dynamic, driven leader focused on building the strategy and supporting launch plans for Cerner’s Virtual Health offerings. In this role you will have principal responsibility for positioning and messaging, sales enablement planning, research, and thought leadership for Cerner's portfolio of Virtual Health offerings. The ideal candidate will be metrics-driven with strong ownership and focus. You will need to be able to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment and communicate clearly and persuasively. This person is able to drive focus and excellence within the programs they own, with their colleagues in marketing and product management, and with colleagues across the organization, including Brand Marketing, Retail, Sales, and Business Intelligence.

In this position you will be a key contributor for Go-To-Market strategy, communication, and readiness including planning the launch of new products and releases, market research and will partner cross functionally to drive innovative programs that are demonstrably impactful to the business, and that drive sales, adoption, and client satisfaction. You will lead Voice of Client efforts, uncovering insights that lead to enhancing our offerings aligned to our clients' unique needs, including defining client challenges, value proposition, and resulting client benefit. As a Senior member of this team you will help our sales teams understand our product and solution narrative through impactful enablement and training including leading workshops, participating in sales calls and client briefings. You will partner with marketing teams to drive an innovative, integrated marketing campaign which communicates Virtual Health capabilities to clients to help build a pipeline for our sales teams, use your analytic skills to monitor pipeline & revenue across sales segments and ensure the supporting marketing plan is aligned with the specific needs of the business. About Sales, Marketing & Strategy


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 7 years of general business, health care or other IT related business work experience
  • At least 5 years of health care information technology (HCIT) project management, sales or consulting work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of product marketing, sales, or product management work experience
  • Experience with sales techniques including, effective questioning, objection handling, and selling.
  • Experience managing a sales portfolio in business development, client relationship and servicing skills, and solution-based selling.
  • Manage and strengthen primary sales, partner, and client relationships from executive C/B-level down to specific department and account teams
  • Willing to travel up to 80%
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
