Join us as a Senior Engineering Manager on the Revenue Cycle Patient Accounting Development team! You will be responsible for leading one or more development teams as they enhance the offering within Cerner's Revenue Cycle Patient Accounting solution. The solution provides financial management across the health care enterprise while drawing from the source clinical system and expedites the speed and accuracy of reimbursements.

This is a great opportunity to work with teams that are porting legacy functionalities into products that can be deployed using emerging technologies and allow continuous deployment and advancement while enforcing containerization. As an important part in the quality of our solutions, you will be asked to orchestrate all of the activities up to and including deployment. Even though the teams work primarily on new code development, there is some portion of the work on corrections. You will also be providing input on functional design, testing, and troubleshooting as needed. Some technical knowledge and high level architecture knowledge is desired.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of Software Engineering work experience
  • At least 2 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field OR Master’s degree in business administration post the bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years of experience in Software Engineering of which at 3 years are in management
  • Experience with software development methodologies & lifecycle
  • Experience with software development in a healthcare or related environment

Expectations
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
