Job Description

As a Patient Financial Services Manager you oversee and manage daily operations of patient financial services department. Specifically, you set and enforce operational policies, procedures and guidelines; maintain effective communication with clients, insurance carriers and other partners to resolve issues that impede cash flow and detract from patient or client satisfaction; and manage to and optimize standardized workflows across the billing process and solution capabilities. You also direct the work efforts and results of a team of associates; develop team goals and manage them for results; and develop associates through coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ patient financial services or medical revenue cycle department work experience
  • At least 3 years’ people management work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
  • Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP)
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)

Expectations:
  • Willing to travel up to 10% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City Metropolitan area
