Job Description

As a member of the Patient Financial Services (PFS) leadership team within RevWorks, you lead patient financial services functions in a complex mix of high-volume, high-revenue, and multi-services settings; manage and oversee a broad span of control of patient financial services operations; develop and implement operational and strategic leadership to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate patient financial services functions, and inform local CFO or other senior internal or client leadership on initiatives as required; establish best practices to maintain current understanding of client solution profiles, capabilities and workflows through working directly with facility or organization revenue cycle leaders; and allocate resources cross-functionally, including people, data, processes and financial investments, to achieve the optimal workflow and outcomes. You also drive reporting, monitor trends, identify operational deficiencies, and own and implement corrective action plans as necessary; lead and direct the billing office staff on all aspects of strategic accounts receivable management, denials, cash posting, and follow-up operations; monitor progress of teams and direct efforts to ensure successful outcomes; and oversee implementation of recommendations for performance and process improvements.

Your associate management will include but not be limited to managing routine associate situations; directing the work efforts and results of a team of associates; developing team goals and managing them for results; and developing associates through coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning while promoting diversity and creating a respectful work environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 10 years’ patient financial services or medical revenue cycle department work experience
  • At least 7 years’ people management work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP)
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)

Expectations:
  • Willing to travel up to 40% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City Metropolitan area
