Senior Business Intelligence Developer - Baptist Health

Job Description

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will design and develop reporting assets utilizing the enterprise data mart and business intelligence tools to provide consistent, reliable, and automated delivery to the end user. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting data discovery, analysis, and profiling of data to validate business requirements and provide inputs into functional design while serving as domain expert in at least one area of the business. You will also identify and manage data quality or integrity issues within the domain and collaborate with business units to design the structure of data solutions, as well as plan their implementation within the team. In addition, you will troubleshoot and fix data loads and other issues within a data mart and explore new ways to present data insights to end users within a project. Finally you will be responsible for managing small scale product commitments to business stakeholders and help develop and maintain the structure of our reporting environment.

About Client Services


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least one year of SQL and report building experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year using an ETL tool - (SSIS, Informatica, etc)
  • At least one year of programming work experience
  • At least one year of report and data visualization development tool work experience such as Tableau
  • Experience with relational database concepts
  • Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL concepts
  • Experience with Business Objects or Discern Analytics is a plus
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Montgomery, AL area
  • Willing to travel as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
