As an Technology Consultant – Interfaces, (Interface Engineer) you are a key member of the Population Health Europe team and a subject matter expert on data onboarding and integration. Cerner’s Population Health Practice is a new exciting part of our organisation transforming the way care is managed and delivered, using technology to underpin the management of population health across geographies. The Population Health Europe team offers the opportunity to be part of an innovative fast-paced unit with all the rewards and challenges that a start-up opportunity brings.

As an Interface Engineer you will build and test interface design and provide interface support during onboarding activities. Specific tasks include configure or install Cerner interfaces and code basic interfaces for the purpose of data onboarding, troubleshoot and resolve system interface issues and support testing during the life cycle of the project.

The Health Information Exchange (HIE) team is a team within Cerner Population Health Europe, and is responsible for the implementation of a workflow solution that covers areas of connection and integration between the different healthcare economies in the healthcare sector, including primary and secondary care, social care, community, mental health organisations, clinical research and home healthcare.

This includes discussing data extraction procedures with clients, transferring of files and use data mapping tools to onboard discrete data elements onto the HealtheIntent platform. To do this, collaboration with Consulting, Clinical Transformation and Leadership teams will be essential.

You will also play a key role in data quality audits and your role will be instrumental in facilitating feedback for improvements on source data systems.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor in either Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, management Information Systems or equivalent relevant work experience
  • SQL and relational database knowledge/experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year working with database architectures
  • At least 1 year working with Linux command line
  • At least 1 year working programming work experience
Expectations:
  • Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Willing to travel 40% of the time

Additional Information
