Job Description

As a Revenue Cycle Delivery Consultant, you will provide client-specific support and expertise to maintain and optimize daily operations for registration, scheduling, financial counseling areas, charge capture, diagnosis/procedure coding departments, business office areas such as billing, cash management, vendor management, and guarantor billing. As a member of this team, you are responsible for consulting with clients on current workflows and configurations, upgrade implications, system changes and enhancements as well as ongoing system maintenance for their full suite of Revenue Cycle Applications for both Hospital and Clinic. In addition, you will complete client-specific design, configuration and troubleshooting with various tools and applications, complete solution build with accountability for build quality and follow up actions. Communication skills are key as you will facilitate design sessions, task force, committee meetings and directly communicate with Department Leaders, Clinic Managers and, at times, Physicians/Providers. Responsibilities also include application interface monitoring and data transfer support for both inbound and outbound file deliveries.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Health Care Administration, Communications or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Hospital or Clinic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Revenue Cycle experience
  • Healthcare IT experience in a Hospital
  • Minimum 1 year of health care information technology project management, sales or consulting work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Systems management or implementation work experience
  • Experience with the Soarian Financials and/or Scheduling Application
  • Experience with the Cerner Practice Management (CPM/Revenue Cycle) Application
Expectations
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Springfield, MO area
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations and per on-call rotations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
