Do you have a DevOps mindset? Then we might have an opportunity for you. Cerner’s Corporate Service Operations team in CTS is seeking a Security Architect to help us achieve our Cyber Security Strategy by automating and implementing unique and sustainable solutions within the federal environment. You will define the layers of security deployed to protect Cerner's logical assets while collaborating with associates across Cerner to influence a "secure from the start" culture. Perform research and advise on an existing or emerging technology and associated services and processes. Conduct analysis in support of complex technical architecture projects and provide rollout and implementation support. As a Security Architect you will help improve the security posture of all servers within the federal enclave.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in CIS, MIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology security work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of technical work experience within information security
  • At least 3 years of complex full-cycle technology implementation work experience
  • Experience with automation tools (Powershell, Python, Chef, Ansible)
  • Any of the following certifications: CISSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security

Expectations:

  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Experience to gain Security+ or CISSP certification within 6 months of onboarding
  • Live in or willing to relocate to Kansas City, MO area
  • Ability to obtain government security clearance or certification (i.e. DOD or VA)
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Additional Information

Applicants for U.S. based positions with Cerner Corporation must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.

Some Cerner positions may be obligated to comply with client-facing requirements and occupational health requests, including but not limited to, an immunization set, an annual flu shot, an annual TB screen, an updated background check, and/or an updated drug screen.
