Job Description

The Cerner Senior Engagement Owner (Senior Project Manager) is responsible for two broad responsibilities: People Management, and Project Management for the full scope of our client engagements. This includes but is not limited to: financial management, project plan development and maintenance, team and executive reporting, oversight and coordination of project resources, establishing and enforcing quality controls, supporting future sales, driving scope and benefits from initiation to delivery; in alignment with all client initiatives. This role serves as liaison between the Cerner and Client implementation teams and Cerner/Client leadership, to ensure all targets and requirements are completed on schedule within scope and on budget

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in General Studies or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of project management work experience
  • At least 5 years of financial management work experience
  • At least 5 years of health care information technology (HCIT) work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Knowledge of and experience working within the healthcare industry

Expectations:
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Melbourne area
  • Willing to travel up to 100% as needed

Additional Information
