At Cerner we’re working at the intersection of health and technology. We create software solutions to support clinicians and healthcare professionals in hospitals and healthcare organisations worldwide, and we are looking for an Engagement Planner to join an exciting project across Region Västra Götaland (VGR) for an integrated digital healthcare environment, replacing many existing IT systems in hospitals and primary care facilities for a comprehensive solution. The new system includes a service to manage the health of their 1.6 million citizens and a modern digital care system that allows for increased patient participation, safer patient experience, and improved work environment for healthcare professionals.

As a Technology Architect, you will be working as part of a team of technical architects but central in ensuring that designs reflect business needs for the client, are compliant with the contract and can be delivered in the timeline for taking the various phases live. You’ll be working closely with project teams, client and Cerner and playing a key role in the Design Authority, prompting the appropriate infrastructure:

  • You’ll be required to create infrastructure logical designs, based on solution architecture requirements
  • High availability, failover, DR and operational elements, such as support and maintenance considerations will need to be impacted as part of the design process
  • Client end constraints taken into consideration as risks or opportunities for based on specifics such as proximity of data centres and resulting latency

In depth technical experience of the following areas:
  • End User Login Workflow
    • SSO
    • IT security/SAML2.0
    • PKI infrastructure/ NetID
    • Knowledge about PUL, PDL, GDPR
  • VDA Platforms – Delivery of applications
  • Citrix Platforms – Delivery of applications
  • Virtualisation

The role will involve a considerable amount of documentation creating high-level and detailed design documentation, that support full project lifecycles, testing elements included that being configuration items that are handed over to service management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems and Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert)
  • VMWare Certifications
  • Citrix Certifications

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience working on the design and deployment of complex, full-cycle technology implementations, infrastructure, client/server applications
  • Working in environments where frameworks and processes based on such things as PRINCE2, PMP & ITIL were followed
  • Fluent in Swedish

Office Tools:

  • Design tools such as MS Visio
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Windows

Expectations:

  • Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Ability and willing to travel up to 80%, based on relative location of client premises
