Job Description

Cerner is growing! As a Senior Regulatory Strategist, you provide corporate regulatory strategy by identifying potential opportunities, conducting market research and collaborating to create solution requirements. You apply knowledge of current and potential future health care information technology regulatory rules to assess and quantify impact to clients; serve as a regulatory expert in a given health care information technology domain to internal and external audiences; and provide regulatory input for product design and development based on industry knowledge to internal stakeholders. You also define strategies for business requirements identified for regulatory rules; identify knowledge transfer strategies, education offerings, and communication needs for clients and associates; and participate in industry organizations to stay current with industry information. The primary focus will be on US Federal level programs and payment systems for federal health insurance programs or related CMS strategic initiatives for payment system reform.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Health Care or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years’ regulatory consulting, compliance or research work experience
  • At least 3 years’ health care information technology (HCIT) project management, sales, or consulting work experience
Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Additional Information
