Associate Senior Operations Database Administrator

Job Description

As an Associate Senior Operations database administrator you will be responsible for managing Cerner’s hosted health care platforms and the tools, perform basic database monitoring and capacity management, triage database alerts and issues; work with senior team members to troubleshoot, identify root cause, and implement corrective action. In this role, you will set up and maintain database backups, monitor and maintain database replication, apply database software updates and stand-alone hotfixes to client environments communicate with 3rd party software or hardware manufactures as needed to ensure optimal configuration and support. Additionally, develop standardized work plans, documentation, processes and automation and perform other responsibilities as assigned.

About Engineering & Technology


Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering with Computer Science, Information Systems or MCA or equivalent relevant work experience

• At least 3+ years of experience as Oracle DBA

• At least 3+ years of experience in Operating systems (OS) and RDBMS technologies work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience working in a development and production database(Oracle) environment

• At least 3+ years experience managing production databases running on UNIX flavors (RHEL, OEL)


• Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed

• Willing to work overtime and irregular hours when needed

Additional Information
