Job Description

Data Migration Engineers are responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly activities required to keep a client system running at peak performance. They perform a variety of technical tasks, in addition to following all process and procedures, escalating issues, and creating/updating all documentation necessary. Cerner System Engineers need a strong understanding of core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server and Active Directory as well as core networking concepts and troubleshooting skills.

The Ambulatory Data Migration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, configuration, administration, documentation, and maintenance of Cerner foreign system interfaces. The role also involves interactions with both internal and external clients during projects. The engineer must be comfortable working with new technologies and identifying solutions to problems requiring in depth topical research and non-traditional solutions. The engineer will also serve as a knowledge expert to help mentor and guide other associates. The role is client facing and will require frequent interaction with internal and external clients to complete project based work.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in CIS, MIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year work experience utilizing SQL
  • At least 1 year Scripting work experience
Expectations:
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Malvern, PA area
  • Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
