Junior Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and facilitating payment for vendor invoices in accordance with corporate policy. You will work with payables for specified groups of multiple Cerner Business Units. You will review vendor invoices to verify accuracy and presence of correct documentation and facilitate approvals to ensure timely recording of liabilities.

You will be expected to review, analyze and facilitate resolution of invoice issues, discrepancies and disputes. You will also research and provide timely response to vendor and employee inquiries received via phone and email and reconcile monthly vendor statements. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also ensure accurate handling of all required taxes according to government regulations.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:
  • Diploma or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred qualifications:
  • At least 1 years’ experience in accounts payable or finance-related work
  • Experience with PeopleSoft
  • Experience with Perceptive Content/Image Now
Expectations:
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
